The “IELTS Edge” Program: Increased IELTS Band Score

Mr. Shaw, British IELTS teacher in Jeddah, has co-authored the “IELTS Edge” Program, together with founding member of the Saudi Test-Prep Network, Mr. M. Andrew.

The 80 hour program is aimed at helping students to increase their overall IELTS score by a whole band level. The course consists of 32 contact hours with Mr. Shaw, in addition to 48 tutor-guided self study hours.

The program, along with its sister “Plus 20″ Program (preparation for the TOEFL Test), has proved to produce the results it was created to achieve.

  Dear Mosa, most definitely yes. There are lots of subtleties in the English language. Digging deeper into one’s word-bank can help to increase band scores, even if a candidate has already scored 7.0.

  7.5 is a challenging but very achievable band score. One of my most recent clients was worried mainly about the Reading section. He worked on the advice I gave him and to both of our surprise he scored 9 in that section!

  The course I have designed requires 7 x 2 hour sessions to complete. We will cover all skills and between classes I will be setting you follow-up work to do in order to practice what we learnt in class.

  Absolutely. I hold a full IELTS CheckTest for male candidates and can arrange one for you.
  
  The test is on Saturday mornings except for Speaking, which is on Mondays. Face to face feedback is ready by the following Saturday.
  The fee is 250SR.
  
  If you would like the feedback urgently, that can be arranged for the Monday straight after the Speaking session. An extra 50SR is charged for this service.
  
  There is a maximum capacity of 4 candidates per CheckTest session so you need to book early!
  
  The next available date is Saturday 17th February.
